Sculptural concrete panel facade on a commercial building

Commercial Stone Facades

Volume supply, submittal packages, and lead times built around a construction schedule rather than a showroom visit.

Commercial work runs on submittals and delivery dates, not on how nice the samples look. Miami Stone Veneer Specialists restructured around supply for exactly this reason — holding real inventory means we can commit to a date and hit it.

Batch consistency is the whole game

Here is the mistake that costs the most money on large facades. Concrete colour drifts slightly between pours — not much, but enough. Order a 6,000 square foot elevation in three lots across eight months and you will see a tonal seam where the lots meet. It cannot be fixed after the fact.

Ordered as a single batch and reserved, it doesn't happen. For phased developments we'll hold stock for later phases rather than press it fresh. That's a conversation to have at design stage, not at handover.

What we supply into a package

  • Spec sheets with compressive strength and material composition
  • Dimensioned drawings for every format
  • Full-size physical samples, not chips
  • Take-offs from elevations, including corner linear footage
  • Staged delivery against a programme

What works on a commercial elevation

Long formats, mostly. Cancun II at 59 inches and the Sandblasted Cantera at 47 inches cover ground three times faster than standard coursing, and on a big facade labour dominates the budget. The material premium is usually recovered several times over in install hours.

For articulated facades, our 3D panels and lattices do work stone can't. A lattice screen over a car park elevation solves ventilation, screening, and aesthetics in one move, and it's a fraction of the cost of a bespoke metal screen.

Movement joints

On any elevation over about thirty feet, thermal movement is real. Movement joints go in at the design stage — retrofitting them means cutting a finished wall. Your architect will know; make sure the veneer joints line up with the structural ones.

Common questions

Can you supply to a construction schedule? +

That's most of what we do. Give us the date the wall is ready and we'll stage delivery to it. For phased work we'll reserve and batch the whole order upfront so phase three still matches phase one.

What documentation comes with it? +

Spec sheets, dimensioned drawings, and compressive strength data. Enough to drop straight into a submittal package. Ask for what your architect needs and it goes out the same day.

Do you handle large-volume orders? +

Yes, with volume pricing. The practical limit isn't quantity, it's lead time — anything beyond stock runs four to six weeks to press and cure. Tell us early and it's a non-issue.

How do you deal with colour consistency across a big elevation? +

Batch it. Concrete colour drifts slightly between pours, so a 6,000 square foot facade ordered in three lots over eight months will show it. Ordered as one batch, it won't. This is the single most important thing to get right on a large commercial job.
